Room 8 showed off their cooking skills in the Cookery Room making baking some great cakes and buns!

As part of the Junior Achievement Programme Room 8 took part in a Dragon's Den style competition with the help of Bewley's. We developed original ideas, costed their production and sought out retail options. We then tried to convince the Bewley's Dragons to invest.

For Science Week we get to pay special attention to science and experiments. We do extra experiments in school and thanks to Bord Gáis and Junior Achievement some of us get to go to DCU to carry out some cool science activities.

For Science Week Room 13 invited their parents in to help out with some experiments, we examined our heart rate before and after exercise. We made phone calls using coffee cups!! Outside we also enjoyed making balloons rocket!!

Each year we celebrate Grandparent's Day. We invite our Grandparents to come into the school and see us at work in our classrooms. Then we have a cup of tea and we go to a special mass.

Mr Coen organsied a Clean Up Day during the month of April. A big thank you to the Care and Repair Team and the parents who worked so hard on the day.

We take trips to Coolock Library during the year. We get to do some exciting work with them. Room 2 and Room 16 took part in the Nightmare Club Series event. We read stories from the Annes Greaves Nightmare Club series of books, we also took part in a writing workshop with Coolock Library.

In September our School Orchestra were honoured to play for President Michael D Higgins in the Darndale/DBelcamp Resource Centre.

6th Class went to Glendalough for a retreat as part of their preparation for their Confirmation.

We got to take part in Zumba classes this year. A Zumba teeacher came into the school and we got to have great fun learning new dance moves! Have a look at Ms Garin's class taking part in Zumba!

Ms Duffy's Class went on a trip to Fighting Words earlier this year. Earlier in the year we took part in a Creative Writing Workshop. The story we wrote on the day was published in the Irish Times. 4 of the Students were selected to go back to Fighting Words to attend the launch of a new stamp issued by An Post which honours Dublin UNESCO City of Literature. President Higgins was at the launch.

On the 30th May all three 5th Classes went to Funtasia for their school tour. From the pictures you can see that we had a great time!

As part of Junior Achievement's work with our school, here in Room 1 we had a volunteer from Dublin Airport Authority working us. We were very lucky to get a trip to Dublin Airport.  We really enjoyed ourselves. Big thank you to our Junior Achievement volunteer and DAA for making the trip possible.

Room 2 took part in Junior Dragon's Den in Bewleys. We had to create our own products and convince the Dragons to buy our products. It was a great day in Bewleys and we really enjoyed our experience.
