Maths for Fun
Maths for Fun takes place in our school. We do fun Maths based activities with our parents. There are two ways of taking part in maths for Fun. Parents come into our class and help us play Maths games or else we get Maths activities and games to bring home and do with our parents. At the end of Maths for Fun we have a celebration in our class and our parents are invited into our classrooms on this day.
During National Maths Week we also take part in some fun Maths activities. 3rd Class take place in Maths Trails around the school with their parents. Room 8 also went on a Maths Week trip to the National Wax Museum.

Room 8, Ms Byrne's 5th Class enjoyed Maths for Fun in their class during the month of November. Parents came in and helped us play maths games based on Time.
Room 11, Ms Kenny's 5th class took part in Maths for Fun. The children brought their Maths activities and Maths worksheets home and did the activities with their parents at home. This took place for four weeks during November and December.
